A Crafts Show coming up.

February 21st, 2010 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Arts and Crafts

I am looking forward to a Crafts Show in Ogden, KS at the Community Center on March 27th. I am going to try and get a booth so I can take my crafts and scrapbooks up there and try to sell them. I have been told by several people that the pictures don’t do the things I make justice. SOOOO I am going to give that a shot. If you are local come stop by and check out my goods. If not I will be sorry I missed you. I will give you the times and date again later and let you know how it goes afterwards. Here are some of my crafts I make. Angels, witches, Carolers, snowmen and Mr. and Mrs Claus.

Hello, I am back now problem solved.

January 31st, 2010 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Scrapbooking

So I went to my girlfriends last night with my other friend and we spent the night til the wee hours cutting pretty stuff out on the Cricuts. I have the first one the smaller one and she has the Cricut Expresssion. Mine cuts 12×6 and hers cuts 12×12. I love the Cricut with the cartridges you can cut so many things for pages ahead of time to add to the pages and to make tags and frames for the pages. She has probably 8 cartridges and I only have 3 so using hers is just a bonus. I cut out die-cuts for the Christmas pages I am going to start working on. One of the cartridges she has cuts Santas, Sleighs, Reindeers you get the idea. I highly recommend the Cricut for your scrapbooking needs and pleasure as a matter of fact it’s great and money saving when it comes down to buying die-cuts and stickers for your albums. And we just keep checking around in the stores and on line to find the cartridges on sale and paper. So you do indeed save money. Here is another of my favorite pictures from Christmas this is my Granddaughter and our other dog Chrissy, she is Husky and Akita mix. Such a Teddy bear. LOL!

Happy Holidays!

December 10th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Arts and Crafts

snow-trooperI hope everyone is planning a great Holiday. Please pray for all of those who do not have much.  I hope everyone is well. Please pray for those who are not. Me and my family have been battling colds, flu, virus’s and sinus infections. This has been a hard couple of months. I have gotten one of those one right after the other for the past has it is crazy do I hope this is the last time I catch something I really do not want to be sick for the Holidays. I have not been doing too many crafts either because if I have not been sick my girlfriend has or we just keep giving it to each other. I hope we can get some crafts done before the Holiday is over. We are working on a really pretty wreath but first we have to get well to finish it, then I can post a picture. The snow was a little much but I think it was really pretty out when it was snowing and then the day after but now it is just plain cold out. LOL! When the snow fell that day it covered my Bar B Q grill in a very odd way.  Here is the grill on my back deck that Tues it snowed. I call him my Snow Trooper. HA HA!!

This will be a hard year for alot of people for Christmas. I know we are having a smaller one than usual but I just want everyone to know that you are in alot of peoples prayers. To all those families who’s loved ones are over seas and those who cannot get to your loved ones because of the lack of money and the economy, hang in there hopefully with enough prayer everyone will be safe and taken care of.  I guess alot of people out there will find the true meaning of Christmas this year as they scramble to give as little material things and as much love as they have in their hearts. To all of you out there Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hang in there god is listening. Stay Safe.

So the wind blowing that stuff around makes for miserable. Sinus headaches and computers do not mix. The wind is blowing around the change of seasons and wow does that ever mess with your sinus and allergy season. I have been having problems for a couple of weeks it is crazy and frustrating. Sorry about the lack of conversation. I will try and do better this week.  I hope everyone is taking some really cool Fall pictures with the changes of the colors in the trees. I think that is the only thing I like about Fall. LOL! But yes those pictures will come in very handy when you are gonna do pages for Fall and Halloween so get the camera snappin. I will be back tomorrow so everyone have a great evening and take care.

4 Christmas Crafts For Kids

June 30th, 2009 by MelanieSmith | Comments Off | Filed in Arts and Crafts

Kids are astoundingly innovative. Hand them a cardboard box and they will make a car out of it, or an ingenious doll house. Hand them a rubber band and they can turn it into a gun. My kid found a big rubber band that was used by the florist and before I knew it, he made it into a gun with the use of that rubber band and lego bricks. It shot out lego bricks across the living room.

Getting children to create Christmas presents for their friends and family members is a definite means to keep them happily busy and with any luck out of trouble. Here are a few ideas.
