The Crop.

November 9th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Scrapbooking

The Crop was alot of fun. We enjoyed our time there with each other. I got like nine pages done in my album. Bought a few papers and stickers but had most of what Ineeded to do the pages I wanted to get done. They had drawings for prizes. I didn’t win but my friend Carol did so we profited from the drawing in one way. met alot of people and got some ideas. It was very relaxing so it was well worth the trip to Topeka. Well be posting some pictures from the crop in the next few blogs so enjoy. Lots of people there tho. Packed house.

Wow I can’t believe it’s like fall out there already.

September 11th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Scrapbooking

Drama drama drama… Got to love those kids and family. LOL! Anyway. I cannot believe we are on our way to fall already. This year has just flown by. I have been crazy busy this week lots of stuff going on. Korine is going to cosmetology school there in Manhattan and Torrie is in headstart. WELL!! The flu is going around at Korine’s school and a virus thing is going around Torrie’s school. Needless to say we have all felt not quiet right this week. Torrie and Korine missed a day at school. BUT Korine had her first test last week and got a 100% on it YEA!!! And she had 2 this week and got a 82% and 85% on them so she is doing great and having fun. I can’t wait til she starts on the cutting hair cuz I will not have to go looking for one or paying for one LOL! So no scrapbooking last weekend we went to my sister for the weekend and really enjoyed the change. Hope everyone had a good Labor Day. Then the week as I said was full. BUT! I did get some pictures of my premade wedding albums posted in a few spots and an ad up for me and my girlfriend to start making them and selling them hope it works out. It’s called D&D’s Scrapbooks. Wish me well. I will have to keep you up on the news withscrapncrafts-08-054 that. Here is a picture of one of the pages from one of the scrapbooks we are selling.

Another of my favorites.

August 25th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Scrapbooking

torrie-024I Really like how these 2 pages came out also. This is her and her Uncle Bobby. We took this one at the Zoo. The drawing to the right on the other page Uncle Bobby drew for her  when he wrote her letters when he was not around. He draws really good. I am trying to get him started on airbrushing some of his designs. When he gets to going on them I will have to put some on here for you to see. The colors of the pages go really well with the picture. I jazzed the picture up a little on Picasa 3. I love that program. f you don’t have it you need to download it you will get alot of use out of it especially if you are a Scraper. The center of the picture is in color and the surrounding area on the picture is black and white just love it.

More Scrapin’ More pages.

August 20th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Arts and Crafts

torrie-025So these pages are really pretty and kindof plain. I made them with alot less on the page than usual with me I am usually a page filler. LOL! But these pictures turned out so good. She let me take some with the black and white setting on the camera and she even had fun posing for me. I love how the pages came and again. The Cricut was busy on these pages too. The flourishes are so pretty. The cartridge was called Home Accent. Love it and of course her name on the Cricut also. LOVE the Cricut.

Titles and Phrases.

August 10th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Scrapbooking
scrapncrafts-08-0723You’ll want to add phrases, captions, poems or comments to your page, they add to the story on the page.
If you like your hand writing you can write it on the page in a small area that you left open when mounting the items to the page. If you don’t have very good hand writing you could also write it out on the computer. Adding a poem or paragraph helps tells the story of the page also. Doing this on the computer with different text or images would make the task easier and neater. Print it on acid free and lignin free computer paper. You can find the paper at your local stores that sell computer paper and office supplies.
Printing it out on the computer with different fonts or colors can make the page a little more interesting. People say they do not like their own hand writing or they worry they do not write neat enough. Using the computer takes care of that worry.
Some of the journaling I do on my pages I add by writing on a shape on the page. A simple square or circle.Maybe putting a tag on the page that I wrote on. Sometimes for fun I put a shape relating to the picture and page. For example: If it is a page with bath pictures trace and cut out a duck in yellow paper and write on it and mount it on the page. Always have fun with it.
Til next time, Donna
