We really enjoyed ourselves but wow by the time Sun. got here it was really time to rest. I have a picture of the bride with the flowers we made. She was very pretty, it was a really nice weekend for the wedding too guess that was a plus. No time for scrapbooking this past weekend andmay-june-09-235 not sure about this weekend since my grandbaby is 4 yrs old today the big bash will be on Sat. I will have to post pictures of course. Went scrapin this past weekend.

June 30th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Scrapbooking

Got the flowers finished for her wedding that job is done. We finished them on Fri. So I was able to go scrapbook on Sat . I did some older pictures and some newer ones. It is so much to mix them up. I don’t have any themed scrapbooks besides my Wedding and Honeymoon albums. All my other albums are just random pages. I have them with all different events and years. I like the changes in years and pictures as I go throught the album. I plan on making my mom and dads 8×8 album with just them in it also but my other albums I like the randomness. My one girlfriend likes to do themed albums and my other girlfriend likes to do hers with different years also. So I guess it’s whatever you prefer. Either way putting an album together however the taste is very relaxing and fun. So go have some fun and relax. LOL!

Pages I made with the transparency picture.

June 4th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Arts and Crafts

The transparency that we printed this 8×10 of my granddaughter on I used on this page from Easter. I also printed some small ones to put around the picture to add interest. I love how the page pops with the smaller ones framing the 8×10.  Whenmay-june-09-0276you use a bigger picture like that you don’t have much room for more picture page it fills the page up too much so the smaller ones were used just as a frame around the edges of the page and then adding the flower and mat to journal on was all the page needed after putting it together. The page to match on the right is where I added the remaining pictures from Easter, the one with our dog Socks with his Bunny ears on. Torrie loves to put sunglasses, skirts, butterfly wings, antlers, and bunny ears on him and for the most part he is a team player. I love how the transparency came out with the color on it. I have a page that I will post tomorrow with a black and white transparency picture on it that I have done. When you put the transparency on the page remember that it is see thru so I had to put a piece of white cardstock cut to fit in the back and then mount the picture to the page. I hope you get a chance to work with transparency paper it was fun to be able to do something different to the pages in my album.

Busy week.

April 27th, 2009 by Donna | Comments Off | Filed in Scrapbooking

I have a busy week planned. I have scheduled a Mary Kay Open House for the next 2 weeks and weekends so I am hoping to be busy selling Mary Kay in between all the updating I do to my sites, keeping up with my emails, facebook and Granddaughter back and forth to school and afternoon play. Then off to supper for the others coming in when the Open House starts. Wish me luck. And I hope I am good at multi tasking. LOL! Went to a girlfriends over the weekend to help her sort thru her scrapbooking room and mountains of supplies. It went well she has gotten alot more organized and it will make it easier for her so mission accomplished. We are going to go to my other friends Sat. night after the Open House and use the Crikit and make some embellishments and tags to have for a later date to use on our pages. I am looking forward to that, it will be fun to make up some pretty die cuts, flowers and tags for our pages. We are also going to try and print a picture on transparency paper with a black and white photo and then color it with some markers and see how that turns out for the pages. I will have to let you know what we did and how it all turns out, maybe take some pictures for you too.

Taking closeups for your pages.

dscf1408

Remember we talked about taking closeups of the objects for you to use on the page with the pictures. Well this is one of the horses that my granddaughter rode at her little friends birthday party last weekend. I took the picture of just the horse so I can print it any size, crop it, and silhouette it on the page. I also have pictures of my granddaughter on the horse for the pages. it will just add so much to the page. I like using this idea when she is out planting flowers with me and I can take pictures of her planting with me and closeups of the flowers she planted. It works with so much I have done it with her in her car and on her bike. This can replace the stickers that sometimes aren’t just what you want or if you are unable to find the right ones for your pages.
