Ready, Set, Scrapbook!
January 6th, 2009 by Donna | Filed under Scrapbooking.I am so ready to scrapbook everything is put away. Sadly Christmas is over.
I have printed some pictures so I am ready to go. I will probably go over to my girlfriends this weekend and put together some pages. It has been too long. I told you I would try and get the picture of my sisters Snowman that I made her. So here it is. I made the snowmen with Styrofoam balls painted with snow and the trimmings are: I bought dad’s hat but made the little guys hat, scarf (dad’s scarf too) and mittens myself. PAT PAT! LOL! The arms are sticks from the yard EASY! The noses are painted toothpicks. The mouth and eyes are small pom poms. I bought the tree at Hobby Lobby 1/2 price GREAT DEAL! I then mounted it all on a small wooden 1 inch thick board painted white. You can use any size board you like. I hot glued everything. I filled in around the tree and snowmen with poly-fill. I decorated the tree with a small star on top, some Christmas beads ( you can decorate it with anything you like) I took it outside and sprayed it with with the canned snow you can buy at any crafts shop. To finish it off I put a small string of Christmas lights, I laid them on the tree halfway down and put some on the snowman’s hands as if they were decorating the tree. I put the plug at the back of the board to be lit up. You do not want to glue the lights just in case you need to replace them. You DO NOT have to put them on there, you can decorate the tree with anything you would like. For example I added some presents and a small little ornament under the tree. It was a lot of fun to make and she really loved it. Well I guess I am done talking your head off. Happy Scrapbooking!!
